Well let’s discuss today about Meditation, the term given by ancient Indian practice to balance the SOUL, MIND, and BODY and align all of them to inner circle thus improving our personal AURA
Meditation is generally mistaken as practicing YOGA, though YOGA cannot be practiced to its fullest advantage without Meditation, and YOGA itself is a tool to Meditate. Both the terms are so interconnected and hard to differentiate as they comprehend each other. We shall discuss in later Blog on the difference between both, but for now let us stick on elaborating Meditation
I define meditation in simple words as a process, resulting from a successful turning inwards of the mind with a conviction that there is a truth higher and more satisfying than what the mind and our intelligence can come up with, it is a final stage of a purified life. Best is to let go of all expectations and to keep oneself open and steady in the meditation practice. Meditation is not ungrounded imagination, seeing things, flying up in the air, astral travelling, or reading people‘s thoughts. The only goal of meditation is to achieve mental peace and balance.
Self-awareness is a stepping stone to meditation, which is the step of merging within the consciousness Self-awareness starts with the purification of thoughts and then laying them to practice in our daily routines.
Easy steps to begin with
Time –the duration to meditate can be from 15 minutes every day to the extent you can take it up, but gradually, and the best time suggested could be early morning as you get up fresh of thoughts, peaceful mind and well rested.
There are no specific postures to be in while meditating, it could be the best which suits you, I do not recommend any particular posture, and you need to be free from physical strains if you want to meditate peacefully.
Focus – should be on the high energy centres of our body such as the point between eyebrows or point at middle of chest or naval. The object of practice should be the supreme power you believe in, the idea is to connect with supreme thoughts. So focus on and try to concentrate with your mind, body and soul. At times you may detach or the mind wanders to some external thoughts, no worries just try to get back, ensure you increase your timings daily.
Eventually the mind set in practice and the thoughts start thinning out with purity and wellness, it’s a great wholesome feeling as we see /experience great amalgamation of mind, body and soul. Keep practicing it without any expectations.
Some benefits non materialistic one may achieve through meditation, depending on individual’s practice are ,SELF AWARENESS as it develops the in-discriminating intelligence in our minds, DISCIPLINE as it helps in better control of thoughts and deeds and develops clarity in mind, STRESS AND ANXIETY as it helps recharging you with love ,faith and affection, REJUVENATES your body and mind for immense health benefits such as high immune and self healing powers.
